A little bit about me...

Hi, my name is Alyssa Meuleners!
Ever since I was five and went to England for my first overseas trip, I have been eager to travel and see the world. I have been on 14 different planes this year, and I will have gone to Turkey three different times in the past eight months at the end of the year. This spring semester I went to a school called YWAM, which is a Christian school and lived in Kona, Hawaii for three months and then moved to Turkey for two months to do mission work.
It is the little things in life that bring me joy. Coffee and my dog are a couple of my favorite things. I am not your stereotypical white girl who orders her caramel frap, but a true hardcore coffee drinker who prefers it black. I consider myself a morning person after I have had my cup of Joe.
I enjoy staying active by hiking, running, or biking. In my spare time, I love playing the piano. I have played for around nine years starting with classical and now practicing chords.
Though my major is undecided, I am leaning towards Psychology or Nursing. I am passionate about helping others and spreading the love of Jesus. Life is just a vapor here on earth and I desire to live it to the fullest.

  1. Alyssa, loved your blog entry. I am a tea and cat guy, versus your dog and coffee girl thing, but hey, everyone has their thing. Even though I play bass and guitar I have always wanted to learn piano. By the way, so your a coffee girl who lived in Kona, I guess you have had your fill of Kona Coffee? Kidding. Great start to your blog though. Really liked it.

  2. Wow, 14 plane rides is quite the number for one year. And to travel all the way out to Turkey. I can only imagine how that experience must have had a huge impact on your perspective of life. On top of that I totally agree with living life to the absolute fullest and enjoying the simple things. Because the simple things are the most important, right? Maybe you can point me in the direction of a strong cup of coffee to satisfy my tolerance haha. I've been drinking coffee since I was 12 :)
